calibre 3170, 44 jewels, 46-hour power reserve. Functions: Hour, minute,
chronograph, 24-hour display, perpetual calendar, weekday, month, moon
phase, leap year. Black dial with Arabic numeral hour markers, black croc
strap with 18ct white gold folding clasp. The perpetual calendar mechanism enables the date display to take into account the different lengths of the months automatically, including leap years. It is a mechanism based on a so-called ‘twelve-cam’ (which completes one rotation every 12 months), and a wheel called the ‘forty-eight’ (which completes one rotation every forty-eight months, or four years) enabling the inclusion of February 29th, each leap year.
