The Rolex Daytona 6265/0 with a Sigma dial is a rare and significant piece in the history of Rolex chronographs. Produced in the 1970s, it features a stainless steel case, screw-down pushers, and a metal bezel—emphasizing both durability and classic Daytona design. Most notably, the 6265/0 is one of the last manually wound Daytonas, powered by the legendary Valjoux 727 movement before Rolex transitioned to automatic calibres in the late 1980s.
The Sigma dial, marked by the “σ T SWISS T σ” signature at 6 o’clock, indicates the use of white gold for the hour markers—a mark of quality introduced in the 1970s. These dials were produced for only a brief period, adding to the watch’s rarity and collector appeal.
With its combination of historical importance, refined design, and mechanical craftsmanship, the 6265/0 Sigma dial is a true icon in the world of vintage Rolex.
